The Assets tab holds the images and files of a site. They are stored in Cloudflare R2 and served from the edge with long-lived caching.
UploadDrop files on the Assets tab or pick them from your computer.
PastePaste an image on the canvas; it is uploaded and placed for you.
DragDrag an asset from the Assets tab onto an artboard to create an image.
Using assets
- Image elements reference an asset by id, not by URL. Replacing or moving a file never breaks a page.
- Set alt text on every image for accessibility and SEO. The AI panel can write it for you.
- Images and files are also available to the CMS (image and file fields) and to the social-image setting of a page.
Where an asset is used
Malla tracks where each asset is used. Before you delete one that is in use, it lists the pages, CMS items and site settings that reference it.
